Stonebriar Centre Introduces New Weekend Curfew Policy For Minors In Frisco

Families visiting Stonebriar Centre this summer may notice a major policy change beginning this weekend.

Starting Saturday, May 9, the popular Frisco shopping destination will require all guests under the age of 18 to be accompanied by an adult after 3 p.m. every Saturday. The new rule is part of what mall officials are calling a temporary “Parental Guidance Required” program designed to improve safety and reduce disruptive behavior.

For many North Texas families, Stonebriar Centre has long been more than just a shopping mall — it’s a social hub, weekend hangout, and entertainment destination. What The New Stonebriar Curfew Means

Under the updated guidelines, anyone who appears to be under 18 years old will need to either:

• Show valid identification confirming their age, or
• Be accompanied by an adult age 21 or older

The policy will apply every Saturday beginning at 3 p.m. and continue through mall closing hours.

According to mall officials, one adult may supervise up to four minors at a time, but the adult must remain with the group throughout the visit.

Security officers will be stationed at mall entrances to check identification and enforce the new policy. Guests who do not meet the requirements may be asked to leave or return with a parent or guardian.

A spokesperson for the mall shared that the decision was made “out of an abundance of caution” following recent disruptive incidents involving unsupervised youth gatherings.
